Hand with Transparent Sphere

"Hand with Transparent Sphere" is an homage to M.C. Escher's famous print "Hand with Reflecting Sphere", which appears in the background as well as in the glass sphere. Escher's drawing shows a reflection of himself and the room he's sitting in, in a mirrored sphere he holds in his hand. In "Hand with Transparent Sphere", a solid glass sphere is held in front of Escher's print. His print appears in the sphere, but distorted and upside down due to the optics of the sphere, which acts like a convex lens. The glass sphere is held in a hand in similar fashion to the mirrored sphere being held in Escher's hand.
