Fractal Tree No. 4

"Fractal Tree No. 4" is a digital artwork constructed by graphically iterating a photographic building block created from photographs of the lower branches of a sage bush. The spiral forms result from the repeated combination of shrinkage and rotation. One of the three smaller copies added with each iteration is lightened, providing an illusion of depth in the overlap regions. "Fractal Tree No. 4" is a limited edition of 50 prints, completed in 2007.
