Cristate Form
This sculpture was inspired by crested cactuses, which have fanlike forms due to a combination of a genetic defect and damage. Crested cactuses often exhibit exponential growth, leading to surfaces reminiscent of hyperbolic geometry. This piece is approximately 11" wide.
